Diane Hanna, ARNP-C

Diane is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with expertise in the area of atopic dermatitis, soft tissue augmentation, neurotoxins and minimally invasive techniques for cosmetic corrections. Diane is the Director of Clinical Research at Modern Dermatology in Shawnee, Kansas.
Diane graduated with distinction from University of Kansas in 2006 with her Master’s in Nursing. She is currently completing her Doctorate and is expected to graduate with honors in May of 2010. The focus of her doctoral program includes emerging treatments and management of Atopic Dermatitis and its developing pathways and bench science research on the mechanics of dermal fillers.
Diane has an extensive back ground in drug development and research. Prior to returning back to practice, Diane was a part of the dermatology pharmaceutical industry where she worked on Phase II, III and IV drug and device research. Diane has been an editorial board member of many journals and teaches at the academic and national level. Diane is the author of many publications and has a passion for teaching, writing and research.
Diane is a founding member and president of the Society of Aesthetic Injectors. She also has affiliations with the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Society, Dermatology Nurse’s Association, The American Academy of Dermatology, Sigma Theta Tau, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Diane has received many awards from the community and her peers including the Dermatology Nurse Association Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award in 2008.
Diane has a passion for advancement and education for nurse practitioners, physicians assistants and registered nurses and believes that collaboration and education from our dermatology colleagues is the right foundation.
